The Sound of the Stream

Stream
at night
sings softly
age old music
to quiet the cry
of this day's little child
lost while the west wind moans
Restoring calm from chaos
Flowing to tomorrow's promise
Diluting the tears of the day's song
Bathing the soul with the waters of hope

I really like the ending in this poem--something we all need to get us through the tough times. Nice use of alliteration to share your thoughts. Best wishes in the contest. Thank you for your kind comment. Karen
