The Sorcerer Fog

On a breezy December dawn,
Fog came riding a grey stallion,
Cloaked in shell-white with fleecy hair.
Sorcerer sprinkling milky dust.

He wrapped the trees in ghostly white.
Covered all in gossamer veil.
But as the sun shone on the hill,
Like a coward, ran out of sight.

We can hide from ourselves indefinitely...but Light will always know our whereabouts.

The creek rise has wrapped us in a dense shawl here this morning, but I know it will soon lift. I like it out there this morning, but the damp does wrap everything up. 👏✍️ Way to go. Sara K.

Using minimal lines and syllables, you told me a story and painted a picture. You were inspired! I'm sure this is what Nette wants and mine is not (laughing.) My muse is in FOG it seems. Enjoyed CayCay

A stunning winter scene. Before light returns, mist creates an eerie, dynamic atmosphere. This says a lot in fewer words. Best for a win, Valsa.

You have written a wonderful poem my friend ✨ It is a charming winter scene painted with beautiful imagery. The fog feels almost alive, creating a sense of wonder and mystery before nature’s sunlight restores the landscape. so much in only a few words has been portrayed here.. S1🌹
