Your Essence
Your essence is like the soft song of a summer breeze,
it soothes my soul and brings my tender heart ease.
I was haunted by a long-lost love of yesterday,
but you saved me from the anguish of disarray.
Now I see the secret that no other woman sees…
you are the only man who can bring me to my knees.
On a passing cloud there floats a dream fascination.
It came to me and brought me a true revelation.
It made me believe that there’s no mount too high,
while I see clearly the gilded leaves of Autumn sigh.
Autumn was the season when we made a dedication
vowing in front of family to start a crimson foundation.
I etched a sketch on parchment a drawing of delight,
our gentle and romantic silhouettes in moonlight.
For we share a rare bond and special connection,
one of perpetual warmth and sincere affection.
Before you I was blinded by pain’s surreal sight,
now we dance with passion under the bright starlight.
You nourished me when I craved a love heaven sent-
now I’ve never been extremely satisfied and content.
