The Sky Turned Black

the sky turned black when I come home do not look in my eyes for I am no longer there wandered away some where some time ago, not sure what you see is a replica of me trained to kill, I was broken into pieces then put together but some things are missing they forgot to return a bit or two before I returned, now when I look in the mirror, who is there?

What use is war? Nothing at all... You created the deep emotions of veterans returning.. who get very little help these days..

Silent One in general we have things backward, we celebrate these you warriors when they are going and ignore them when they return. it is are enduring disgrace. Thank you for understanding the poem.

Stunning! Would that our nationalistic make-war psyche could be stunned into change:-( Powerful poetry indeed. ~ john

John my poetry on the subject of war and all of its aberrations is meant to stun people into thought then hopefully action. If not it is blowing in the wind.

Thanks Line. Guess my mood is rather obvious. I do not think war solves problems.
