The Sky Is How You See It
My back is turned to you,
But I'm listening.
I'm gazing at my personal sky
From the door of my life.
I see a sea, I feel the breeze,
I hear the birds screech against the wind.
I love my paradise, I love my life...
I love the view of my personal sky.
So bring me your rainstorms, dump them in the pail.
There's a tinderbox for the hail.
Bring me your lightnings, and your thundering attacks,
But wipe your feet on my welcome mat.
Leave everything at my door, I promise I care,
But stand with me a while, and breathe the free air.
