Inspired by Anne Graham Lotz’ bible study – Jesus In Me: First on her list of sins, Ingratitude: List all the favors God has bestowed before and after salvation. Which ones have you forgotten to thank Him for? Even before I knew him on a personal level He blessed me with answers to prayers That I probably failed to pray He blessed me with health and happiness Inspiration and promise of tomorrow Where I would know His grace and mercy Bestowed on me through love, hope and belief After I was saved, I discovered so many things That I’d always taken for granted… Little things, big things and those in between things Like prayer, salvation and inclusion in His book of life A bible where I’d find all the answers To questions that followed me in all of my strife He blessed me with a loving family, tender smiles A caress to my naked thoughts with reflections Of joy felt and expressed even during sorrow He blessed me with a deep assurance within Reminding me that I have all I will ever need Because I have His love, His kindness, His grace The inspiration that falls across His face When I give Him my heart with a gentle embrace He blessed me with reminders of how I am loved Through passion and promises, prayers from a heart Who believes and dreams, feels thankful to know Him The One who gives me peace beyond all comprehension Hope that lasts and sends my soul sweet whispers Of serenity, faith, fulfillment and silent praise For the One who lifts me up and carries me past All the worst days that might come my way He blesses me more than I can say, in so many ways With inspirations that will amaze and a creation That reminds me to pray for a heart that is grateful For all the ways He has sought me, taught me And brought me out of the pain of my empty past He blesses me with a hope for a heavenly home Where all that I have ever imagined Will be a part of my soul, lifting up the One I know As God’s one and only Son, Jesus – who is my whole world

This is a sin that many of us commit without even realizing it. Great to recount all the blessings He has bestowed upon us. Enjoyed your encouraging poem.

Alleluia, my dearest friend, Gina. We all ought to show our gratitude to our Lord for without him we will remain eternally in darkness. Excellent writing! Hugs xxx
