The Seeker

Some seek truth
in clear, sweet 
streams -- a
dapple of sun,
a capture of beams --  

Some seek truth in
deep, salty seas -- 
thinking truth, God's  
sunken mysteries -- 

I find truth
in your devoted, loving
eyes; and if that is
not truth, then I will
settle for lies….

The last stanza says it all. Very romantic ! A sweet ditty meant for your sweet heart. I greatly enjoyed this poem expressing your deep passion.... In her eyes you see the truth and the depth of an ocean....

For sure; always do our best. Thank you, Victor. In further support of this work: "Truth is in the eyes of the beholder." A can of worms. Unfairly, superficially interpreted by Christians, of whom I am one. Christian advocates can be just as boneheaded as any other fanatical group. Doing more harm than good.

Oh that ending! Absolutely touched my soul! Truth in their eyes and if not, settling for the lies.. how evocative and poignant this is! The emotive pigments here really smeared my heart with such poetic depth.. especially "sweet streams - a dapple of sun" the word choices are so impressive here and that second stanza!
