The Season of Love

The maple leaves are burnt orange and red falling and drifting. It is Thanksgiving- we gather all our love, all together again; the turkey is divine, the pumpkin pie so sublime. Goodbye- see you at Christmas! Outside is a picture perfect winter wonderland, the family is gathered around a roaring fire; or am I lost in a Christmas cornucopia dreamland? I can hear, so clearly a church choir . . . The snow is deep in the place they forever lay, under a gray Christmas sky (a girl alone) will pray. _________________________ October 24, 2017 Poetry/The Season Of Love Copyright Protected, ID 17-9522-16-0 All rights Reserved. What a sad piece, but excellently expressed my friend! I really loved the lines, "I can hear, so clearly a church choir.../The snow is deep in the place they forever lay,/under a gray Christmas sky (a girl alone) will pray." What an expressive poem, so full of emotion! I surely enjoyed reading your amazing piece here this morning! What a fabulous poem, Great Work!!
