I found some elusive hearts,
some deceptive ones
my heart still beats on its own
filled with hope not despair

Out of thefire rises the phoenix, from old ways come new beginnings and this write is most encouraging and full of hope and promise of better things to come.... Once folk have a roof they have somewhere to start rebuilding their lives back together... Well done to capture this in so few words is a gift in itself! Kindest thoguhts, Anna-Marie.

Hang on to that hope, Wilma. There have to be some good men out there. Your poem started out sad, but ended on a high note. A round of applause for you in providing us with hope! Love, Carolyn
