The Sea Calls To Me

Warm sand squishing between my toes
As I plod happily towards the deep blue waves
Gentle crashes upon the shore, one upon another
My heart leaps at the chill of the welcome salty brine

Sunshine warming my face and arms
As the cool waters swirl around my body
Enveloped in a beauty and wonder of the Goddess
Or God who created such earthly temptation

For nothing here in this wonder of creations
Can compare to the power and passion of the seas
They beckon my soul and call my name in their winds
Nowhere can man find such peace and fury in one place

Making my way deeper into her bounty
Rolling with each surge of its black soul
Weightless and without burden
I ride the frothy surf and want to feel her power forever
