Notes About The Poem

I traveled with family to New Hampshire to visit my youngest child. We took the scenic route, and the fall leaves in the mountains in Pennsylvania were lovely to just behold. New York was pretty too, and yes, there are mountians in New York.   This is a google image but this is the kind of sight that we saw. We did take a lot of pictures.

The Scenic Route

It's fall, and the trees show off
their colors, bold and bright.
As I choose the long way there,
I notice a chill in the air—
and I can't help but stare.

The scenic route gives a lovely sight;
it's fall, and the colors ignite.
