I run to you, so you can hold me
and find a warm vibrant rapture
in each other's arms
My promise of love, I give to you
so you may caress my soul
with tender feathered trembles
as I caress yours
I'll give you my eyes, so you may see the truth
and bathe, naked in a universe of rising suns
and joyous tomorrows
I am yours and you are mine
lovers drifting in romantic dreams of forever
fulfilled beneath a heavenly sky
of moon and stars
where the soft glow of the night
disappeared with the horizon
when our world grew smaller
and our arms became the outer reaches
of our boundary filled with purple asters
and passionate exhalations
I offered a sensual universe
filled with warm kisses dripping in hunger
and you offered a paradise of love's yearning
that gives love its sweet intoxication
which lingers with each sighing breath
burning with desire
we captured dreams and wishes in our nets of love
then placed them in the palms of our cupped hands
held as tender as a butterfly's breath
this jewel that glitters is our lover's lamp
to light the way through the night
where emotion pours from our lips of ardor
in a whispered symphony in our soul
heard and felt in this timeless night
of unbound fervor
until we welcomed the morning
still looking into the dewy eyes of love
