The Running Mate

I wonder who’ll be my running mate
In this election cycle
When he has the vote of the party
Who will he give the title

Pence has experience and he very well known
He’s honest, religious, and confident
And his integrity has already shown
But I don’t think he’ll take the wink 
So that means that he’s gone
We will only accept loyalty
And that is well known

Desantis has a lot of attention
His popularity has grown
But when it comes to making decisions
He puts Jim Crow on the throne

Scott would be the better choice
He black, he’s vocal, he’s known
But that's the same as Larry Elder
I’ll have to flip a coin.

I’ve got to give it to Chris Christie
His bravery so far has flown
But he didn’t say he’ll pardon me 
If things go very wrong

Nikki Haley is my best choice
She’s beautiful slender and bold
I wonder how far will she go 
If she thinks that I’ll consider her votes

Ramaswamy seems so innocent
Being thirtyfive and all
I must admit he’s very slick
But prejudice he will not sway

As for the rest I will not test
They simply will not pay
Who knows their names, what gives them fame
Or what votes that they can claim
