The Rubber Band Gun
Years ago, my younger brother and I
Saw some rubber band guns in a store
We begged and pleaded to get us one
Mom said, "No, and don't ask any more"
I was never wanting to be outdone
"Let's make our own!", I told my brother
Using a broom stick, (I paid for later!)
With rubber bands, tied to each other
I had to watch my little brother
For him to be careful, I had doubt
I put it on, a shelf in the garage
But had to watch, or he'd sneak it out
Then one day, I walked by the bathroom
I heard a loud "SNAP" through the door
I swung it open and yelled, "AH, HA!"
I'd not seen mom, pull up her girdle before!
