Still He sits In deep thought Reflecting on His last eighty years Nothing distracts his thoughts Of disappointments and joys A smile then appears on his face As he remembers his deceased wife Still smiling he lifts both his feet and rocks .

I love this Tom. Gosh I am not too far behind him. My daughter put together a swing for me on our deck and I sit out when I have time and swing and delight in the birds flying in and out of our neighbors avocado tree. They sing and squabble sometimes entertaining me. Your poem is lovely. My granddaughters join me when they are here. xxoo

A beautjfully written poem, Tom. Sorry I did not see it earlier.. Great form. As long as your healthy and a believer, there is still life ahead. I have a cousin in her 70's with terminal Breast cancer. She may never see 80. My suggestion, is live for today. Honor the past...but love these days, we all love you now! Huggs Panagiota

Thank you Jan, I too used to see it when I used to go to the care home, sad in a way that when you get much older you reflect a lot on your life and people you've lost. Tom.
