The Resurrection
The first day of the week, while it was still dark
She visited the tomb with a heavy heart.
How it did occur she just couldn’t say
But the stone was rolled away!
Alleluia! He is risen!
Alleluia! We are saved!
Alleluia! He is risen!
Alleluia! He has left the grave!
Then, John and Peter ran so that they might see.
They went to the tomb and then they believed.
Returning to the rest so that they could share
How the Lord, He was not there!
Alleluia! He is risen!
Alleluia! We are saved!
Alleluia! He is risen!
Alleluia! He has left the grave!
An angel in the tomb, to the men he said,
“Why do you seek the living among the dead?
For He is not here but He has been raised.”
The Lord’s name be praised!
Alleluia! He is risen!
Alleluia! We are saved!
Alleluia! He is risen!
Alleluia! He has left the grave!
