The Rebel

Help the rebel cause
We pause
To pay our respects to those brave enough
To stand for those who won't for whatever reasons
For standing against the oppressors of the oppressed
The instigators of our distress
But, indeed, our lives could be so much worse than it seem
Though, truthfully, it could be so much better than we could ever dream
Could you imagine all the thoughts your mind could never speak?
As they prey on those who willfully portray themselves as being weak
Or dare I even speak
Of the scraps we've yearned to keep
As we work ourselves to the bone
While they boast about their profits reaching new record peaks
But you know what?
There is no more time to pause
As we stand witness to the budding flower of hope
Blooming to its profound perfection
While contemplating all the ways we should continue to cope
Though whats needed most is a massive moral correction
So help the rebel cause!
