The Queen of Zeba

To the Queen of Zeba whom I knew not, Whose endless stories I have haply heard: So many scrolls of your tales have I got, Yet not a one have I left still unread. Your beauty as so many lines have told, Could win the heart of any beholder; And your eyes like some sunny bars of gold, Ever through the ages make you younger. O pardon my guts if I have tresspassed, By writing this much to your Majesty; For I am but a lad with a plain mind, Driven by the humblest curiosity. Yet in this plea lies my hopeful smile; Make your beauty known by your fair reply.
