The Prism of Prejudice
White, brown, beige or black
How does it matter?
The rainbow even though purely white
Uniting colors,shining bright
Spectrum of seven it can scatter
"Don't wear white,don't wear silver"
"Don't go in the sun,"
Too dark or too pale, life isn't a fairytale
Let the haters commit sins, in their own flames they'll burn
Dark men are aggressive while light women feminine
The end of the world has begun,
'Cuz "what's in a name"is so mainstream
But "what's in a color" says none
Stubborn fallacies, ingrained beliefs,
Plastic people with phobia or fright
Forget that the light and the dark
Merge to make the best photograph;
That the blood is always red while the bone is always white
Don't let anyone dull your lustre
Treat people right to have your back,
Black,brow,yellow or albino
Freckles still shine and melanin glow
'Cuz life is a chessboard where the king and queen are both white and black.
