The Price

Are you really the human kind To stand up and feel what's hidden behind The perversion of soul has taken hold And actuality has left you blind. Can you feel what's deep within And peer beneath the charred black skin And find some meaning not left screaming When forced to turn away from sin (Chorus) Feel the reality, embrace the humanity Turn from the machine It leaves you wanting more Feel the reality, embrace the humanity Ignore the machine And consider what's under the door Is there really another way Will you remember to find emotions today And ignore the tech, it seeks no respect It's the people that have something to say. Step out into the daylight sun And cast out the night you have become undone Put away the device, it comes with a price You have so much further left to run. (Chorus) Feel the reality, embrace the humanity Turn from the machine It leaves you wanting more. Feel the reality, embrace the humanity Ignore the machine And consider what's under the door (Bridge Screamed) How can you be sure You have become pure Cleansed by the cure Not falling into more Cleansed by the cure Don't go back for more Believe and be sure You are now true and pure Written By Cynthia Thomason 9/9/2010 All Copyrights Reserved
