One cold dreary morn, I observed sun - a pale orb - peeking out from clouds. All at once, it shone boldly. . . my glimpse of bright days to come! For Rick Parise's "A Memory of Beauty"

Ooh I sure missed this one (maybe this was either I had a contest or when I stayed out??)-- been browsing through winners' pages and saw that this one-- I loved how you described the sun over here-- lovely way of a "sneak peek"-- congrats on your win! hugs nikko :)

a great poem. at least it doesn't blind you right when you open your eyes & wake up. but when you go outside and look its all the more beautiful.(: ~Always&Forever Lynette

Evening Andrea Love it , makes me think of my dad he always said why he loved S.A so much was the fact when you wake up in England and its cold and grey you feel down but in S.A you wake up to sunshine and start your day feeling fine. Its hard to follow ones convictions otherwise I wouldn't eat meat. Cheers

Sure, write your limerick, Andrea. Can I use one of your limericks to write mine. You had one that placed first in one of my contests. Maybe I could write from it.

Andrea, if you're uninsured, you'll still have to pay for coverage under the new health care reform package. It's an unconstitutional mandate and with half the states challenging it, I think the Supreme Court will strike it down. I can't afford to pay for health insurance, even if it comes from the government. Thanks for sharing your views. You know I wish you continued good health. I need foot surgery that I can't afford, so I just deal with the pain and hope there's no nerve damage. Love

Just a "pale orb" can be enough to bring hope, Andrea. Lovely entry for Rick's contest and I wish you success. And I consider spiders "bugs." I didn't say insects, just bugs, and they certainly bug the heck out of me. Love, Carolyn
