The Precipice

Throughout history, we've feared the unknown,
what's beyond the horizon was taboo.
And yet, curiosity led the way
past castle walls, into that phantom zone,
"where there be dragons," waiting to eat you;
maps say.
We've scaled the precipice of the unknown;
though fear tried to take that moment away.
But life doesn't stagnate nor stand in a queue;
new possibilities form a milestone
each day.
