The power of power
Peace brings equality
It's why they crave the chaos
It makes then feel less empty
It makes them feel validated
Silence asks too many questions
The silence holds the truth
The chaos hides lies
It's why they start wars
As it distracts from accountability
A pretence they've kept up for centuries
Knowing one wrong move will have their facade crumble
The fake smiles
The tight grip of a handshake
Publicly giving condolences
But in private making plans to profit of our pain
The name of this game
Fake activism and performative allyship
The players
White liberals
And the strained smile of the white politician
War over peace
Their secret motto
Disguised as care for the people
What they don't tell you
Is that they really mean they only care about their people
It's just a matter of how you view their actions
It's just a matter of how they verbalise their words
Especially when they make promises
Of a new and improved world
But years later
It's changed for the worst
Humans are inherently selfish
Especially the ones who were spoon fed privilege
The ones who don't face discrimination
The ones who become blind to issues that doesn't affect them
The ones who relax in a pool of power
Privilege funding their ignorance
The irony is their problems were solved by the enslaveds labour
But can't even 'apologise' by fixing the damage they have done
