The Pond

I slipped on a teardrop and landed in a pond
The Pond of purgatory souls

On the earth they thought they belonged
Claimed they had just lost control

Wanting to return they had made a mistake
A decision full of regret

The pond from the tears of their heartache
Their destiny they had set

Gathered around the pond in reflection
In unison they cried

If only they'd chosen another direction
Instead of suicide
