Thanks for sharing your life experiences in so many different forms of poetry, Anaya. Society has too many labels, especially for children and young people. If you like outdoors and nature, then play outdoors. I enjoyed you poem and your thoughts on being a tomboy. Bill

Bill, traumatic memories are the ones that we remember vividly. I would like to write more about my youth, but the "Truth" is I'm not sure if I can express myself in a way that'll bring justice to my stories. I'm not there yet and, I think I'll just tip toe around it for now. Lol. Thank you for your encouragement, hugs

Tomboys surely do have to face unsung obstacles and misunderstood impressions. Your poem demonstrates the strength and solidity of the pyramid, good luck. Robert

Indeed, I was a nature girl. A pyramid shape is the poem form. This is why contests are so important for someone like me to learn new forms. I love P.S. it is a warm environment, Robert! Thank you

You get to compare scars with other tomboys. Today, that rock pond would have a health warning on it. When did it all change for the worse.

This is true Paul, the pond was cracked, sharp edged and depleting, and us kids should not have been playing there. lol

I was a shy girl, it was either watch goofy cartoons inside or play outside with the boys, it really happened, the rock pond scraped the back of my leg, bloody mess, don't you hate it when that happens? :D Thank you, Tom. Happy Sunday!
