The Poem, a Poem

A poem is
           poem of multiple essence.
           A bird's hoot,
           a fecund instant,
           flash of inspiration ...
           A lamb bleat
           before the sacrifice,
           a childhood cry
           before the blowjob
           A fallen petal,
           a note between notes
           a drummer that  plays
           feasting the glory ...
           It is the awakening of the dawn
           releasing the apotheosis
           of this flame that does not die ...
           It is an angel without wings in the earth,

A multifaceted diamond but still in the rough of possabilaties. I would certainly start with your lines about how a petal falls becomes off beat beats. Simply lovely, but so very true. Every fact or event is worthy of making poetry, we have much more to do. Here it is simply the observation of a poet about things he realized. at the time; Wine and cheese make beautiful fondue!
