The Perfect Motion Picture of Johnathon and Josie

He said, “I love you”- she said, “I need you" As he was glaring so true, into those eyes of baby blue. The day came when wedding bells rang, the vows were spoken, the choir sang- Their depth of passion captured romance, holding each other sharing the first dance. The honeymoon came and still in love, hearts flying freely like an ivory dove- With each embrace they felt the sensation, of being grateful for each other’s creation. A perfect motion picture on the television, a baby was conceived just like they envisioned- Another baby blue-eyed beautiful girl, they knew one day she’d laugh and twirl. Watching her sleep, they fell in love again, remembering how they became best friends- He needed not material things, just her hand, she needed not diamonds, just her adoring man. The people all viewed their fondness on screen, so much compassion and ecstasy was seen- They grew old and then came the cancer, He was going to die, she needed an answer. His final words were spoken in a hushed breath, “I shall love you until eternity, beyond my death”. She cried and moaned in pain and woe, finding it hard to let her beloved husband go. See this is a tale of a love lasting a lifetime, a film at the cinema of marriage so sublime- Conquering heartache yet filled with adoration, a depiction of a true story of appreciation. When the award show aired they won a trophy, those actors who portrayed Johnathon and Josie- Little did everyone know off screen they fell in love, a perfect motion picture meant to be from above. They soon married and had a baby of their own, my how fast had their baby blue-eyed girl grown- Every anniversary they’d watch their nonfiction movie, seeing true love turn into reality, a cinema beauty. WOW, just finished writing haiku, thought I'd visit Poetry Soups library, 'Perfect Motion' caught my eye. Not only a winner of a competition your poem had much to say. I read it thrice then read it to my wife. Her retort, "You write it"? I replied no and gave credit to you. True love for us still true! Thanks for sharing Laura Loo! Mick
