The Perfect Day

The perfect day would be with you
I can just imagine
As the light snowflakes fall across your blushed red cheeks
While you smile
and laugh at the way I fall on the slippery ice.
I can just see you coming to where I have slipped and couldn’t get up
You sit next to me with a gleaming grin
As if this has been the perfect day for you also
I can picture how you lean your head on my shoulder for a couple seconds
As you look up at me
I see how your dark eyes are now gleaming from the orange sunset behind us
I can feel the warmth with you just being in my arms
I notice how you sit up and look at me in the face
And smile for just a second
Then I can feel your hand slip across my back as you lean in
And all I could remember was the feeling of our two souls
Mixing within the cold brisk air
As our two world clash
Into one…
With just a touch of our lips

That would be the perfect day for me.
