Author's Notes: "The People from Those ****-Hole Countries," is a new political-verse poem that I just completed on January 13, 2018. The principal focus of this write, among many others, concerns the rhetoric and overall sad situation regarding the U.S. President's recent racially-tinged comment about the people from those ****-hole countries, which has been amply covered in the America press and worldwide as well. This very unfortunate remark has only added fuel to the fire already burning from other things this president has done to shame and degrade less fortunate people, whist denigrating the authority and respect of the very important office he holds. This political verse poem is a treatise, in fact, which speaks for itself. I recommend that interested readers can also obtain a further in-depth back-story relevant to the theme of this poem by reading the following poems I posted last year, in 2017, on Poetry Soup: "The Pied Piper from New York City, (Parts One and Two)," "Demagoguery," and "Racism." The People from Those ****-Hole Countries
The people from “those” ****-Hole countries, eh??
Really?? Really?? You don’t say?? I didn’t know that!!
This is a recent stream of consciousness comment, which
constitutes a new low in the American political discourse,
courtesy of, none other than “America’s Infamous Circus-
Show Master” to whom I have referred to in a past poem
from 2017 as “The Pied Piper from New York City.”
Again, this individual refuses to conduct himself with the
highest standards of civility, decency, manners, comportment,
and intellectual curiosity expected from any person who holds
or would endeavor to hold the highest political office of the land.
The Pied Piper’s off-the-cuff comment in this instance about
“those people” certainly does not represent nor does it portray
“The Better Angels of Our Nature” as historically and originally
posited by President Abraham Lincoln.
In effect and intent, the Pied Piper’s deplorable comment, shared
in a discussion with other political leaders who were there to hear
it and witness it, is one that speaks volumes to several words which
amply describe it, to wit: despicable, disgusting, racist, demagogic,
idiotic, evil, and just plain stupid! A very poor comment, indeed,
for the supposed “Leader of the Free World.”
The Pied Piper has again besmirched the dignity and honor of the
high office he holds, and has given America another unwanted and
unnecessary “Black Eye,” with his unfortunate comment, which
only further tarnishes America’s historically symbolic reputation as
the land of freedom and democracy as a traditional immigrant nation.
With his recent comment here about the “Those ****-Hole Countries,”
along with his incessant attacks on freedom of speech and press, libel
laws, federal courts, the U.S. Congress, and the Justice Department—
we are witnessing a very sad episode and saga of American democracy.
His childish actions continue to cheapen and weaken America’s essential relationships with its key allies and its strategically-important international alliances. And, they help to create a narrative among nations of the world that America is becoming a “rogue-state” that no longer wishes to be the indispensable leader of the free world. A very sad tragedy for sure!
I recommend that the Pied Piper put on his current paltry reading list,
that is, if he has one, some important documents and books well-worth reading and understanding, to wit: The American Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, Lincoln’s “Gettysburg Address,” Alexis de Tocqueville’s “Democracy in America,” Thomas Paine’s “Common Sense” and "Declaration of the Rights of Man," and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous speech, “I Have a Dream.” Maybe someday he will actually read at least one of these prized selections, and perhaps learn something. Although, I sincerely doubt that will be the case!
The people from “those” ****-Hole countries, eh??
A real intellectual and racially-unbiased comment from the Pied Piper!
Ha! Ha! I’m only kidding!
May God Bless and Help the United States of America!
Amen! Amen!
