The Pathless Path

 
"this form of dust is by God energised
wherein we are living light housed within
how may this truth be realised
show us oh monk, how to begin"

God created me from dust and to that I will return
oh, life is so short to follow the path
that I seek
the one chosen for me by God
a path that is my destiny
each step is a journey

Deep within me God has lit a great fire that burns
a light that at times is but a flicker
yet, at other times glows
sailing the blue ocean to my true north
I float, I fly on the wings of birds

On my knees I pray to God each new day
seeking his help and truth
oh, blessed God, am I on the path to you
is my journey leading me 
to my destiny

You whisper, each day begin again
another chance, another way
never give up, it is never too late
find that fire that burns within
making you brave and courageous
and keep seeking the truth
