The Path

I know the path I need to follow.
It is the one least traveled
And most difficult to swallow.
It is not a path for the faint of heart.
For it is straight and narrow,
Full of adventures to start.
Although the path may seem lonely.
It is the only path that embraces you wholly.
Though you leave the path in discontent
It waits, always hopeful that you will repent.
For it is the only path of great cost.
Paid fully by another,
That we would not be lost.
This is the path that will truly free us
And it is the only path that leads to Jesus.
