The Pail of Water
What do you think of when you watch the sun rising?
In dawns early light, Find peace as the stars fade, And the
light of day brings A new beginning of a day, A day of
wonderment, A day of excitement, A day of adventure, A
day that can never be replaced.
When you see, Do not see with your eyes,
But rather see with your heart, For your heart sees all. I saw
something, Now it is gone, Was it really there? Or was it
just a hope of something I wanted to be? Why didn't I hold
onto it when I saw it? Why didn't you hold onto what you
had?
Love to the extreme, For you have but one life, And only
one life to live, So live it the best you can, Love with all
your heart, For your heart knows all. If you just open it up
and let it talk to you.
Let jealousy be cast out, For what is jealousy, But what you
wish were happening to you, Instead of to them, The past is
past, And should be left in the past, Don't be a stranger to
the one you love. Remember there are different shades of
love, Of caring, Of wanting to be, Of what is real.
Are you vain? Do you think this poem is about you? Is this a
shoe, does it fit you? Well, it is not what you think, But
rather how I felt at the time I wrote this. As with so many
poems that are written, Just something from the writers
head. What is true and What is real? Did you spill the pail of
water, Or did it just fall out of the pail?
