The Pacific Coast Sky
The tangerine sun sets in the western California sky,
along the pebbled shore the tide breaks with ease-
In the medallion clouds the bald eagles start to fly
and I feel the comfort and warmth of the breeze.
Just then all the madness of my day does cease.
I sense a vault of heaven with the opening of atmosphere,
distance above reaches heights beyond comprehension-
The eventide ascends and the ebon sky creeps near,
for it looks as if it’s the start of a beautiful dimension.
All my worries are relieved and gone is my apprehension.
It is a pinnacle of disbelief that brings such bliss,
Elysium culmination that allows my lungs to exhale-
Just then under the moonlit sky, my lover I kiss
and off into the Pacific we begin to fervently sail.
In the beauty of the night the stars leave a celestial trail.
We arrive in the morn at our desired destination,
above us soars clouds of pink and azure of the sunrise-
Oh, what a lovely sight to see; a God-given creation,
it’s the majesty that rests right before my astounding eyes
and once again just above, the robust bald eagle flies.
