When I’m up on stage at any night. I have one chance to get it all right. It’s enough to give anyone fright. When I am under the hot stage light, it seems a mountain I am climbing. It all requires expert timing. Saying the wrong words at any time would prove to be not very sublime. Everything said must leave them laughing. I must avoid any gaffing. What a ham you are Robert. :) I enjoyed reading it and felt akin to the performer. You have an interesting rhyme scheme of aaaa/bb/cc/ee. I don't recall seeing one just like that. Of course we poets can have the liberty of most any style.
