The Old Lady's Treasure
As she sleeps, life's segments are reclaimed
through transparent dreams.
In loving arms her nascent beauty glows
lovely as a pearl.
Childhood sparkles with innocence
brilliant as a diamond.
Adolescence swirls with self-discovery
iridescent as an opal.
Adulthood radiates with passion
vibrant as a ruby.
Maturity unites strength and elegance
majestic as a sapphire.
Old age bestows wisdom and leisure
regal as an emerald.
Precious gems in her gilded jewel box
she bequeaths them with love.
