The Ocean and Me
The Ocean and Me
I told the ocean
Give them back
The people walking out of the sea
An army they couldn’t see coming
I told the ocean
Tell the tales so no one
Would cry
That they were silenced by water
Buried by waves
Cry to me
I told the ocean
Be easy, let me walk
On you
Bask in you
Fearless and free
Save me
Finally I wrestled
The deep
But the ocean won
