The Nurse

she comes
the nurse who makes us all
feel better
whose mere presence uplifts us
to our higher joyous selves

Thomas, first thank you for this lovely tanka dedicated to me, I appreciate that so much. I am a Palliative Care Nurse, which means I care for people at the end of their lives, often being the last person they see in this world, that is a big responsibility, I am humbled by it, and for some reason very good at it, I have the compassion for the dying and the family waiting, I have been asked by the dying often, are you an angel, and I answer yes, faving this one for sure ~

it's lovely, Thomas. My sister is a nurse and this fits her to a tee.
