The Now of Zen

He pondered the Zen of when Longing for the now of then For had he not been told Live in the moment new and old Be of the pebble not the pond Lone dragonfly on dancing frond A motionless vibrating tone A living, breathing, stoic stone Denying all but present breath Denying all but present death Be the splintered shard of glass Thru which the light of life must pass Eschew the mirrors inverted soul Reflection will not make you whole Your ancient vibratory rune The wings of butterflies in tune He ponders still the when of then Searching for the now of Zen

This is so wonderfully paced and philosophical John. Isn't it called being in the now or some thing similar? Enjoyed.

Enjoyed these great lines...compact, rhyming, and full of puzzling(fun the figure out of course) thoughts. Awesome!

I like trying to decypher this one John, I can imagine myself giving a lot of time to someone offering advice about being a lone dragon fly on a dancing frond - sounds like a 2am chat that makes perfect sense at the time then you ponder forever trying to regain the penny drop moment
