Notes About The Poem

The Night That Never Was

The Night that Never Was

Dreams invaded my thoughts
Thoughts invaded my dreams
My desire faded
Like a candle at the end of its wick
I crawled back to reality
So I thought
I lost my courage
I know I have become crazy
Illusions and mist
My last memory
Was of all of you
I look up now
For I lie below
In silence
Beneath the winter snow

Not warming, yet warm that you have shared of your time to carve; to pause and read me.

Oh my, oh my, oh my - horror, but not horror, yes - deep and dark as said below. Another creatively spun delivery of image and feel ... CayCay
