The Night That Never Die

The night that never die I wanted to write a love song But I remember the unforgettable night The dark long night of the youth In end SARS protest The night of sorrows and agony The night of cries and lament The deep night of no freedom So many started this night Not all saw the day I told you I wanted to write a love song But I can't forget a night filled with the Rains of bullets and guns With men on vegetable kaki jacket This night was a horror This night was a night mere Simply because we protested against Police brutality called SARS in Lagos Nigeria The night that never die I wanted to write a love song Now I turn my motivation into elevation I just can't forget the innocent gone so soon Now I draw words like the Shakespeare Displaying the power of the pen And telling the realities of sorrows and agony Dont blame me but feel my soul Remember I told you I wanted to write a love song Now am here adoring the heros of my time Yes may the souls of the ones we lost In this long dark night Rest in peace You still live on in my heart I love your spirit It is the source why my pen bleed again No wonder now I can't write a love song Cos truly and honestly it is difficult to let go The night that never die Tribute to the souls we lost At end SARS protest in Nigeria End police brutality in Africa
