The News

The news is bad, the newsmen glad Talking heads squawking gaily on and on Daily dispensing skewed views of the news Expert analysis from partisan fools They report an event, for a few seconds Then speculate, commiserate, and try to shape What all should think about what was said Time after time the story is not how things went But how we must all now think on the event Here is my news, for what it is worth Spend no more than a few minutes a day Consuming the news in different ways The rest is just garbage that gets in the way Go about your life and say No, to the talking fools who claim They are just reporting the news To stupid to realize, we are wise to the game

Kenneth, I agree with you, too much news is too much news. I listen to it once per day to find out what is happening, we must know that, but then do not listen again, because it is just a repeat, repeat over and over . I am following social distancing and the other precautions and it is easy because in my city most things are closed anyways, but the grocery and drug stores are still open, great poem _Constance

I believe you are right, Kenneth. when Utah recently had its little earthquake, they talked to a guy who felt the shake of it and they just kept asking ridiculous questions going on and on about something that happens with far greater consequence in parts of the world where the tremor is harder and actually does a lot of damage. And how they are making everyone so nervous about Corona. They could dial it down a bit, REALLY. good one.
