The New Norm

the new norm
people seem more angry
out of sorts with each others
dissatisfied with life

the new norm
grandparents are two dimensional
seeing their grandchildren on screen
manners are out of date

the new norm
thank you notes are unheard of
appreciation is answered with “no problem”
people sit next to each other and speak through text

the new norm
more suicides
unhappy people
Utube is raising the children
Their parents can barely feed themselves

Marikate Kingston July 28, 2021 at 10:21 PM "Manners out of date" Yes. "Everyone seems angry" I know why, but shall not say. Everyone is so entitled. How did this all happen? It's sad but true about all the things of which you speak. Thought I had taught my kids manners. but reviewed.. lift the food from the plate UP to your mouth. Watched a family of 4, all on their cells at a restaurant. YUC My mother would have hated it. Thank u cards always, pencil paper, the real thanks.
