The Nameless

I never had the chance To know who you were The questions in my head Spinning, ripping, crumbling Hearts sink below each sunset Our Christmas turned sour The blood and torment now Sorrow filling our cups The thought of it all today Knowing we'll never know What you could mean to us What you would have been Daughter and mother Son and father Words resound in my thoughts Sadness rings his bell loud Tears crash making great rivers Darkness falls on two hearts Souls buried in the sand of loss Time’s hourglass runs another life Down to the depth of never-was Eyes in the darkness watch me Broken and weary of future Holding onto nothing but love You were my nameless future A miscarried world of mine
