The Moonlight's Gleam
Night approached and tucked its kids into bed
It planted kisses on their cheeks as it looked
Into their tired eyes with hope and inspiration
That one day, they'll be the leaders of the future
It focuses its light on its beloved
Adding glow to their faces that are purified
From evil and angst that survived in some
Becoming their soul's strong and powerful stem
That clutches to every feeling they can release
To show freedom's companion and innocence
Eyes ponder at those scars embroidered on the moon's surface
Wondering how they could hurt a dear's visage
That so bright and en lighting
Sprinkling faith into the seekers of the night's passaging
As they strive to find adventure
Eventhough their exposure to danger
Is so close and might attack
Swallowing them into their depth's sac
Oh what beauty you spread in the night sky
What light you embed within each eye
You are a faithful night's guard
You are the one that obtains the secrets of the world
As you watch everything that happens at night
Yet, no time shall pass as beautiful as tonight
For tonight is the time for me to ask you a favor
Maybe no one asked before
Oh moon shine upon me
Upon the ones that knelt on their knees,
Upon the ones that walk through the righteous path
Upon the ones that believed in the oath
Upon the beloved and the adored
For you, moon, are a chandelier of guide
You are the eyes of a mother
You are my friend I shall always treasure
As I wave goodbye
Dipping into the deep sleep with a blink of an eye....
