The Monk Bought Lunch
The Monk Bought Lunch
In the land of greed it could knock you to your knees
Inside we hide from the false hidden garb of compromise
One word to the wise let your love flow like a river or a stream
Were living today among a land of mean
Everyone's searching for answers with tombstones for eyes
Does this hidden logic come at any big enough surprise
The monk bought lunch then at it willingly
Looking at the mountains inside his mind of make believe
What to achieve with broken glass on the cement floor
Lest I implore a vast space to the land of never more
A line is being drawn out in the sand
Sent with angelic forces from out of the sky
We wrote a note that laid there beneath the door
In front of the room cobwebs of some certain time or doom
Politely he smiled this in order to embrace the day
With one knee he humbly bows to pray
Search the hearts of those followers looking toward the sun
A filtered beam or rainbow to help egnite a little fun
To treasure he vested moments alone not to run
An open heart filled with moments filtered through his mind
To pour a vessel of water to the helpless, pour & blind
To show faith in action as a servant on the scene
The monk bought lunch in the comfort of the decorum
Shelter lies dormant amidst his beckoning plough
To share love with stranger's is like being a rainbow in the dark
A beacon of hope to a much hurting world in need
The challenge to be free is a question of time
