The Missing Goodbye

The crowd was once you and me Sitting across while procrastinating It used to be two seats taken Now I’m only taking one Because forever you are gone I could have married the miles And I could have purged the silence But how could I now when you’re 6 feet under? I’d roam the world to look for you But now is another dimension you have pursued I broke your heart first Tears and blood you dripped I carried on without you They say now there’s no longer pain How will I ever stop the rain? Everywhere is now a blur since its you without Im counting on tomorrows that you’re still missing I failed to realize the inevitable While you were living I was your pain Now I’ll carry it with me even when I’m against the grain.

Hi Yvette, I read your poem, of course its sad very, if it is a true story. Sometimes i think, why do we always have to be in pain, life is so difficult to live it with and without someone in our lives. But if it is the wrong person, its hard to take it. I think you should not feel guilty, because maybe it was meant to not to be to be together. Find a way to balance your life. If this poem is about you. Terry xoxo
