The Metamorphosis Is All Around

Trying to get myself flowing these days
But my mind has been frazzled lately,
Shooting in several other directions, stopping for no one or nothing
Still trying to figure out my life and my purpose
Star-recruited, my heart leans toward poetry
I feel free once it is all written down
The days become clearer, the thoughts accept one another
I am essentially out of my body
And pushing toward the core of the earth—the heat of the moment
Then, I travel on high to cool down,
Hoping I’ll feel a drop or two of comfort

I faced another day…nothing too eventful…nothing too life-changing.

But the metamorphosis is all around..
People are moving very fast and sometimes they do not see who’s behind them,
Or beside them, or right in front of them
I want to find a route underground,
Beneath the ever-changing life of reality
I want to enter the depths of the volcano, the very core,
Before I am spat out in anguish and rejection
I want not to want, but to become

I have no arms…no feet…
I slither into the cracks, and sometimes I see others here too
So many minds…so many differences….
The good and the bad,
Whatever the perspective,
Whatever the interpretation—it is all mixed into one substance
I am one particle within that substance.

..and then if I go any further, I lose myself…. Lose my purpose….

Your heart is the great volcano, your purpose in expressing the beautiful and divergent language of your soul. No other poet looks inward and outward the way you do my lovely Laura. Your quest of Self shines greater with each daring exploration, your You perfumes heavenly with thresholds seeking refined strength. This composition contains poetic philosophy that the sages of the Ages would be motivated by. Another deep write worthy of repeat reading, its juicy...J.A.B.

Again, you capture this wandering essence of jolted pain & ecstacy. My God, can I buy you an ice cream or something? :)
