The Lusterless God
imagine for a second
that all the hogwash bull*****fiction
spun by you spin doctors
whipping up your religions &
churning your lies like
butta,
was scientifically proven tomorrow---
imagine that the proof that y’all needed
to rub the faces of all us nonbelievers in,
was right at your fingertips &
there was no longer any debate left---
would you be satisfied?
you know that you wouldn’t.
you know,
as well as i,
that the bull*****that you believe in
has no basis in reality &
by that very notion,
you parade your certainty with
“faith” & not reason,
“miracles” & not evidence,
etc.---
to have proof of all the ridiculous crap that
you have mustered over the years
would take away your magic.
all the shiny mysteries &
all the ways of seeing, relative to only your own
specific
little itty bitty place in the vast universe,
would mean nothing &
a lusterless god
would be the one that existed for your worship.
how would you deal with this thing that could be
reduced to mathematical proofs or
slimmed down & diced up into little pieces
which could be examined with a microscope?
buck up & admit that what really matters
is that what you say you worship
what you say will save you
can never be characterized by any
tangible proof
because then, it would no longer have the
power
that you think it does.
