The Lovely Lemon Water
I am exhausted in sweltering heat
She offers me her fragrance
Two whole glassfuls of lemon water
Laced with honey
Instant hydration of my body
Invigorates me significantly
In return I offer to moisten her soul
But she is too impermeable to water from my glass
Anchored in absolute self control
Or else I lacked enough dews on the grass
Inside her fridge
Needle like water crystals glisten
Slow crystallization
White pearls of expectation
For a distraction she turns her eyes
To a dense mound of cloud in the sky
Where water waits to be released as rain
A precipitation in making
Waiting for the requisite temperature and pressure
To get down as raindrops
Upon the lovely mountain top
Similar droplets at her window
Nicely held though …
