The Little Voice Inside My Head

There’s a little voice inside my head
That tells me right from wrong

This little voice inside my head
Is what keeps me standing strong

This little voice inside my head
Tells me to keep my dreams in sight

This little voice inside my head
Encourages me with delight

This little voice inside my head
Speaks to me like I’m “someone”

This little voice inside my head
In darkness shows me the sun

This little voice inside my head
Tells me that sometimes love is a mistake

This little voice inside my head
Tries to ease my heartache

This little voice inside my head
Teaches me diversity of thought

This little voice inside my head
Tells me to value everything that I’ve got

This little voice inside my head
Teaches me to listen

This little voice inside my head
Is responsible for the things I’ve written

This little voice inside my head
Is speaking to me right now

This little but loud voice
Is telling me that I’ll make it though life when, where, and how.
